Abstract


HOME AND KITCHEN ITEMS SECTOR INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIVENESS REVIEW

Countries and companies have started to work on the concept of competitiveness as a result of the phenomenon of globalization that allows being removed the barriers to international trade and the world to become a single market. The competitive company will be able to strengthen its current position and create superiority over its competitors in new markets. The purpose of this research is to determine the international competitiveness in the framework of RCA and RC for Turkish housewares and kitchenware sector. Within the scope of the sector, there are 40 HS codes and the competitiveness was measured by calculating index values. Regarding the findings of the research, it was determined that according to the RCA index, 18 of 40 positions had a competitive advantage, and according to the RC index, 29 of 40 positions were highly competitive.
