Politik alanın içindeki cinsiyet dağılımları ve eşitsizlikleri konusu alanyazında kendisine hacimli bir yer edinmiştir. Bu çalışmada, cinsiyet dağılımları ve eşitsizliklerinin ötesine geçilerek mevcut hali ile cinsiyetli bedenlerin politik alandaki tezahürleri, cinsel kimlik ve cinsiyet rolleri içerisinden kavranmaya çalışılmıştır. Araştırmada önerilen politik cinsiyet kavramı, kadın ve erkek aktörler yerine histerik ve obsesif özne konumlarını tartışmaya açmaktadır. Cinsiyet, cinsel kimlik ve cinsiyet rolleri kavramları, politik alan ile ilişkisi içinde Lacancı psikanalitik kuram arka planından tartışmaya açılmıştır. Cinsiyet rollerinin politik alan ile etkileşimi içerisindeki fenomenolojisini kavrayabilmek üzere, Türkiye’de seçilmiş üç Büyükşehir Belediye Başkanından biri olan Aydın Büyükşehir Belediye Başkanı Özlem Çerçioğlu ile yüz yüze görüşme gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çerçioğlu’na ulusal ve yerel takipçiler tarafından verilen ‘topuklu efe’ unvanının içerisinde hem eril hem dişil göndermeler bulunması bakımından örneklem seçiminde rol oynamıştır. Yüz yüze görüşmeden elde edilen veriler, Lacancı Söylem Analizi Yaklaşımı içerisinden değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırmanın temel önermelerinden birisi, siyasetin bedene ilişkin gerçekliğe yer vermediği; bu nedenle politik sahnede cinsiyetin heteroseksüel matrisin dışında yeni kavramlar ile düşünülmesi gerekliliğidir.
The issue of gender distributions and inequalities in the political field has gained a large place in the literature. In this study, going beyond gender distributions and inequalities, the manifestations of gendered bodies in their current form in the political arena were tried to be grasped within the context of sexual identity and gender roles. The concept of political gender proposed in the research opens up the discussion of hysterical and obsessive subject positions instead of male and female actors. The concepts of gender, sexual identity and gender roles have been opened to discussion from the background of Lacanian psychoanalytic theory in relation to the political field. In order to understand the phenomenology of gender roles in their interaction with the political sphere, a face-to-face interview was held with Aydın Metropolitan Mayor Özlem Çerçioğlu, one of the three elected female Metropolitan Mayors in Turkey. The title of 'topuklu efe' given to Çerçioğlu by national and local followers played a role in the selection of the sample in terms of having both masculine and feminine references. The data obtained from the face-to-face interview were evaluated within the Lacanian Discourse Analysis Approach. One of the main propositions of the research is that politics does not include the reality of the body; therefore, it is necessary to consider gender in the political scene with new conceptions outside of the heterosexual matrix.
