Bezirhanes, in the most general definition, are historical industrial facilities where oil is extracted from plant seeds. They are one of the important representatives of today's modern mills and factories in history. In their original use; The oils obtained from these structures, which aim to obtain oil by pressing various plants such as linen, Izgın (Eruca cappadocica), belemir (Cephalaria syriaca); It has been used throughout history for mechanical lubrication, lighting and nutrition. With the development of industrial production, these structures were abandoned to their fate, and many of these structures were lost over time.
