Abstract

The word Enneagram, which is derived from the Greek words “ennea” meaning nine, and “grammos” meaning points, is a system that expresses the sum of 9 different temperaments. In the enneagram typology, individuals can belong to one of nine different temperament types, and each personality type has its own strengths and weaknesses, quests and needs. These nine types of personality reveal the dominant characteristics of individuals and the behavioral patterns that shape their temperament and personality. Therefore, the enneagram, which expresses a dynamic structure that reveals our personality traits, covers all the processes from thinking to acting. For this reason, it is important to examine the factors associated with the enneagram personality structure. In this context, the main purpose of the research is to examine the relationship between enneagram personality types and religious attitudes in university students. In other words, it is to determine whether there is a statistically significant relationship between the levels of religious attitudes and enneagram personality types of university students. In addition, the research also aims to examine the relationship and differences between enneagram personality types and sociodemographic factors. The population of the research, which was carried out with the relational survey model, which is one of the quantitative research methods, consists of young people studying at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart and Van Yüzüncü Yıl universities. The sample consists of 853 students studying at different faculties and colleges of the mentioned universities. In the research, "Personal Information Form", "Enneagram Personality Scale (PES)" and "Ok Religious Attitude Scale" were used. As a result of the research, it was seen that there were positive correlations at the level of statistical significance between all dimensions and total religious attitude scale scores in the Religious Attitude Scale and enneagram personality types. In addition, as a result of the research, it has found that there were significant differences in some sub-dimensions of enneagram personality types according to socio-demographic characteristics.
