Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between workplace incivility and the perception of psychological contract violation, as well as the potential moderating role of organizational justice perception in this relationship. The sample of the research comprised 253 employees working in an energy systems sector factory in Malatya. A questionnaire consisting of three parts was utilized as the data collection tool. The first part contained questions to assess employees' perceptions of organizational justice, which was measured using a scale comprising three dimensions: distributive justice, procedural justice, and interactional justice. The second part included the workplace incivility scale to gauge employees' perceptions of workplace incivility, while the third part encompassed the Psychological Contract Violation Scale to measure their perception of psychological contract violation. The questionnaire was administered to the employees online, and all collected questionnaires were included in the sample. The data obtained were analyzed using the SPSS 22.0 software. The research findings revealed a positive and significant relationship between workplace incivility and the perception of psychological contract violation. Furthermore, it was observed that the distributive, procedural, and interactional justice dimensions of organizational justice played a moderating role in the positive impact of workplace incivility on the perception of psychological contract violation.
