Classroom Management: A Literature Review

This research involves investigating the structure of classroom management with its dimensions on the axis of literature. The research is qualitative research based on document analysis, which aims to examine the studies that have been submitted for publication in journals scanned in the SSCI citation index and have the keyword classroom management as of 2021 in line with the determined objectives. Within the scope of the research, 32 studies published in the SSCI database using the keyword classroom management were examined in terms of problem situations, research questions and hypotheses, and these data were tabulated for each study. Within the scope of the research, the designs in which the studies were conducted were examined, and the designs were separated according to their types and tabulated. In addition, the study group or sample in which each study was conducted was also analysed, and the study groups or samples identified were divided into certain themes. Finally, the analysis methods used to obtain the findings of the studies were examined and the analysis methods used were tabulated separately for each study. According to the findings, it was seen that topics such as developing new models on classroom management, the use of digital technology in classroom management, strategies developed for classroom management in the blended learning process, differences between expert and novice teachers, and managing classrooms with students with special learning needs or behavioural disorders were preferred. The studies are generally quantitative, qualitative and experimental studies conducted on K12 level students and university students.
