In this study, it was aimed to determine the sensitivity of the mothers to violence against children. The study group consisted of mothers with special needs children and mothers with normally developing children (n=110). The Scale on Violence Sensitivity towards Children (SVSC) was used to collect the data. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and t-test were used to analyze the data. As a result; It was determined that the sensitivity of the mothers to violence against children did not make any difference according to age, number of children and attitudes towards raising children. It was found that the variables of education level and income level made a difference in the view of violence against children. It was observed that high school and university graduate mothers were more sensitive to violence against children than primary school graduate mothers. It was observed that mothers from middle income were more sensitive to violence against children than the mothers from low-income levels. Having with special needs child or a normally developing one did not make a significant difference in the mothers' sensitivity to violence against children.
