Abstract

There has been no study in the literature that examines high school students' reactions to cyberbullying in terms of cyberbullying and victimization, reactions to cyberbullying and demographic variables. Considering that cyberbullying and the actions taken by individuals on this issue affect people's personalities, it can be said that this issue should be investigated.
In the study, the responses of high school students to cyberbullying were examined in terms of cyberbullying and victimization, reactions to cyberbullying and demographic variables (gender, grade, school type, number of siblings, parental education, family income and academic success). The research is a descriptive study. The independent variables of the study are Cyber Bullying and demographic variables (gender, grade, school type, number of siblings, educational status of parents, family income and academic achievement) and the dependent variable is the responses to cyberbullying.
SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) 16.0 program was used for the analysis of the findings.
It has been observed that the reactions to cyberbullying make significant differences according to gender, grade, school type, parents' education level, the monthly income level of the family and academic success. As a result of the research, it can be said that the alexithymia levels of high school students reveal concrete findings and important evidence regarding the relationship between loneliness and demographic variables. In this respect, it is predicted that the study will fill an important gap in this field.
