The Kadro Journal, which had an important place in the Turkish world of thought, included many economic, social, political and cultural articles. The journal, which was published between 1932 and 1934, left important traces although it was published for as short as three years. The purpose of the present study was to determine the role that the Kadro Journal, which has been studied in many respects, had into reformism in the idea of modernization. The study was organized in three main sections. What the “cadre” concept means, and the meaning and importance of reformism were examined in the first two chapters. As a conclusion, it was understood that the main concept that gave authenticity to the thought of the Pro-Cadre Movement, which sought a third dimension in social and economic approaches, was reformism
