Water is the source of life. Without water, there would be no life on earth. The colorless, odorless, tasteless water we drink when thirsty and drink it without thinking, and the rituals related to water, which we often ignore, have a very important place in Kayseri folk culture and Kayseri wedding rituals, as in many cultures. In Kayseri, water rituals are very important in the selection of the bride-to-be, which is the first step in the realization of the marriage act. In engagements and weddings, traditions related to water have existed in the lives of the local people for many years, but today most of the rituals are either forgotten or not adopted by the young; Since weddings were not held in accordance with the traditions of the Kayseri region, they quickly faded into oblivion.
