Muhammed Abduh is one of the leading Egyptian contemporary Islamic thinkers of the 20th century. Abduh grew up in a difficult period due to the period he lived in. Abduh, who seeks solutions in the face of the crisis experienced by the Muslim World, can also be seen as a community reformer. Because the main goal of Abduh and his master afghani is to transform society. Abduh, who wanted to transform society from the bottom to the top through education and training, also wrote Works in the fields of the tafsir and kalam. About the portents of doomsday, Abduh and his student Reşid Rıza tried to explain their views on issues such as the descent of Jesus, the antichrists, the Mahdi, and the rising of the sun in the west. In Abduh’s religious methodology, the Qur’an is taken as a basic criterion. Abduh, who tried to understand the narrations in accordance with the Qur'an and reason, directs his criticisms of the Creed originating from the narration, in places where he sees that it does not comply with his method.
