Abstract

With the development of Art and Design with technology, poster design has also entered into a change and transformation. The diversity caused by the changing poster designs has led to the merger of marketing and persuasion methods. As the competition increased, the design limits were removed in certain places and the working areas were expanded. The most important examples of this diversity are the advertising posters used in product marketing. Advertising banners, which cover a large part of graphic design, are a perfect method of persuasion when used correctly. In this study, about the use of advertising posters as a method of persuasion; “Why is the poster used as a method of persuasion in graphic design? What are the effects of advertising posters on the consumer? , Is it possible to attract the attention of the target audience and increase the sales rate with the right advertising poster design? seeks answers to questions such as Within the scope of this study, the use of advertising posters as a method of persuasion, by influencing the determined target audience, or encouraging them to buy, were examined through the studies. The thesis study consists of strategically planned poster designs in order for consumers to experience the use of the poster as a method of persuasion in the advertising industry and at the same time to increase interest in poster designs, to create the message to be delivered to the target audience, to inform the consumers about the brand, to attract attention and to understand the message that the brand wants to give. covers. It is aimed to present the message that the poster gives to a brand or target audience and the developments experienced at that point in media where poster designs are considered unimportant. In the research conducted within the scope of this study, it has been seen that the principles of poster design have remained unchanged until today. The point that has changed is that it attracts more attention and reaches more easily by the target audience by offering visual solutions.
