The Effect of Performance Perception on Organisational Depression in Human Resources Management

Individuals' perceptions of performance can be considered as a concept closely related to performance management. Performance management is a process that ensures the stable and sustainable success of organisations. This process is carried out at different levels for different purposes. The performance of individuals can also deeply affect the efficiency of the organisation. Therefore, in this study, the relationship between teachers' performance perceptions and organisational depression levels was examined. The research was carried out according to the relational survey design in quantitative research method. The sample of the study was selected among the teachers working at the high school level by stratification sampling method. The teacher performance self-assessment scale was used to determine teachers' performance perceptions and organisational depression scale was used to determine their depression levels. According to the results of the study, there is a significant negative relationship between teachers' organisational depression level and their performance perceptions. In addition, teachers' performance perceptions were found to be a significant predictor of organisational depression.
