ESSENTIAL OILS IN COSMETICS

Abstract

Essential oils are highly concentrated compounds derived from leaves, stems, flowers, seeds, roots, fruit peels, or bark. Essential oils are frequently used for their therapeutic, fragrance, and flavor properties in a wide range of products such as cosmetics, food, and medicine. Especially recently, its conscious and unconscious use has been increasing. Therefore, in this study, a literature review was made about the chemical structure and properties of some essential oils that are widely used.
