A Review And Evaluation of Research on Unemployment Anxiety Among Higher Education Students During Technological Transformation

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine and evaluate the thesis studies conducted between 2016 and 2025 regarding the unemployment anxiety of higher education students within the context of the technological transformation process. The study was carried out using the descriptive survey method, one of the qualitative research methods. In this research, master's and doctoral theses focusing on the unemployment anxiety levels of higher education students were reviewed and evaluated. The findings obtained from the review were analyzed through tables according to the distribution of the studies by year, academic departments, fields of study, and academic levels/years. In addition, various variables that may affect unemployment anxiety levels were examined. In this context, it was observed that while there was only one study per year in 2016, 2017, and 2018, the number of studies began to increase in subsequent years. It was also found that most of the studies were conducted among students from the Faculties of Economics and Administrative Sciences and the Faculties of Sports Sciences. Furthermore, in most of the studies, the variables associated with determining the level of unemployment anxiety were analyzed and evaluated through tables in terms of their significance.
