This study aims to reveal the under- and over-representation rates achieved by the parties based on the level of disproportionality in the electoral systems implemented in the multi-party election processes in Turkey between 1950 and 1980. Thus, it will be clearly determined how close the different electoral systems implemented between 1950 and 1980 came to justice in representation and how far they moved away from justice in representation. The data of the study were collected from secondary sources and the descriptive method, which is a qualitative research method, was used in the analysis of the data. First of all, the definition of the electoral system was made in the study, and information was given on the types and effects of the electoral system. Then, each electoral period was analyzed separately by considering the changes in the electoral systems implemented in the elections held in Turkey between 1945 and 1980. In the conclusion section, the findings were evaluated comparatively.
