Religion, in its conceptual definition, means the path shown by Allah through prophets to lead people to the eternal bliss, forever happiness. Briefly commented, it tells humans the purpose of creation and wisdom of existence of the laws set by God. Human beings have always felt the need for worship since the creation, and with the sense of asylum present in their nature, they sought a superior and protective spirituality. In this context, they also deified the people or objects they deemed to be holy from time to time in the absence of divine leaders (prophets) or because they wanted to make God fit to the fact of God in their heads, not invisible. Many of the myths of the belief that we have seen in western mythology have been formed with this understanding and most of them have been narrated from the basis of celestial religions. In our study, in the light of all these evaluations, we will examine the connection between religion and mythology through the Bible and the Holy Quran through the Baptist Yahya and try to understand their reflection in the works of art.
In addition, in the research, we will evaluate how religious elements are reflected with symbols in the works of western painters along with conceptual approaches.
