THE INVESTIGATION OF ATILGANITY LEVELS OF STUDENTS READING IN SPORTS SCIENCES ACCORDING TO DIFFERENT VARIABLES

Assertiveness, which can be defined as the way the person can introduce himself, is considered as one of the important determinants in the relations of the person with his environment. In this study, it was aimed to examine the assertiveness levels of students studying in the Faculty of Sport Sciences at Düzce University in terms of different variables. In this study, Rathus Assertiveness Inventory, which was developed by Rathus (1977) and adapted to Turkish by Acar (1980), was used. A total of 244 students, 107 women, 136 men, who voluntarily participated in the 2018-2019 academic year, participated in our study. Statistical analysis, the information obtained in the research were evaluated in the SPSS 20.0 package program with a significance level of 0.05 in the 95% confidence interval. Parametric tests were used because the data showed normal distribution. Independent - Samples T test was used with binary variables, and One-Way ANOVA test was used for variables with more than two. As a result; In line with the findings obtained as a result of the Rathus assertiveness inventory, when the assertiveness levels of the students of the faculty of sports were examined, no statistically significant difference was found in terms of age, gender, department, class, sports age, income level variables.
