Abstract

In this study, the phenomenon of internal migration from the Eastern Anatolia and Southeastern Anatolia regions to the Anatolian neighborhood of Adana province was examined; It is aimed to reveal whether the immigrants are satisfied with the socio-economic results of migration and their tendency to return to their hometowns. For these purposes, face-to-face interviews were conducted with 44 men and 45 women aged 40 and over living in the research area. According to the information obtained from the research area, the most important reason for migration is the economic inadequacy of the regions where they are located. The most important finding of the study is that even though there are economic opportunities in the migrated region, the majority of the immigrants are preferred socio-economic opportunities of the Adana and do not want to return to their hometowns
