Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the leadership behaviours of the principal of the schools serving in the Diyarbakır province of Çınar, limited to the 2022–2023 academic year, to improve the teaching done at the school, based on the opinions of the school managers. The research was conducted in the case study pattern of qualitative research methods. The study group consists of 15 principal schools in the Diyarbakır province of Çınar, which are determined by an easy-to-access sampling method among the school managers in the current schools. The data of the research was collected with a semi-structured interview form based on the screening of the work of the field in the field of teaching leadership. The data obtained is analyzed by the content analysis technique. The study concluded that the school managers often undertake technological infrastructure, equipment provision studies, families have difficulties in teaching, and teachers experience occupational exhaustion issues, and that they prefer cooperation with the civil society organization (CSO) and a strategy for providing financial resources, and they recommend professional development activities. Commentary and suggestions are provided within the framework of these results, based on the headmaster's views
