Abstract

Expression of art has taken different forms in every period and supported with certain movements to reflect the style of the artist. Nowadays, when we examine the art historians' teachings in terms of moving forward and directing art with certain criteria and criticisms and presenting them at academic level, it seems very ironic and surrendering in the sense of claiming art. Avant-garde and conceptual art "Kiç” is tried to examine how a paradox with commodification. In addition, the research aims to clarify the extent to which contemporary art can offer what it promises and the reasons underlying this submission of 20th century art.
